Traditionally haggis is served with Champit Tatties(mashed potatoes) and Bashed Neeps. The neeps, or a swede as it is called in Scotland is actually a yellow turnip. But here in the USA, they are known by their Indian name, rutabaga! Here are two cans, 14.3 ounces each, that will serve four people a small portion. Boil the diced rutabaga in the canned water until soft, drain, then mash like you would potatoes. Add half a stick of butter and some white pepper. Neeps should be slightly lumpy, buttery and peppery. Yum!
